One Shots: The picture of patience

What makes for the perfect portrait? Great lighting and costuming certainly helps, as does the serene pose of the subject. And as George Washington learned from his official portrait, an artist who is willing to put decals and cat faces all over the place.

Vincent is keeping it more restrained than that with this Final Fantasy XIV selfie: “This week had a chill kind of vibe, taking in all the good deets from the recent live letter as we patiently wait for 7.2 to drop. That’s me, the picture of patience.”

Minimalistway shared this Warframe pic that reminds me so very, very much of music player interfaces in the early 2000s. Man, I miss that aesthetic!

“90% of people quit before adding the perfect number of screens,” he says. The perfect number? Twenty-two.

“More Elder Scrolls Online for me this week,” said Katriana, “this time with a shot from the Infinite Archive which I checked out for the first time this week with a friend.”

I think that this is where the old gods like to do their weather report for the news. “Sweeping pestilence and brooding nightmares are rushing over the norther continent, Tim!”

And speaking of ESO, Greaterdivinity has another cavern vista: “Finished the overland of Western Skyrim and now I’m once again underground, this time in Blackreach with Greymore Caverns. Thinking about it, does ESO have more underground/cave areas than other MMOs? Or am I just noticing them more often? Either way, the ZMO design team continues to make fantastic looking underground areas!”

And while y’all were living your normal lives, I was doing battle with the Legendary Sheepsquatch (a robot in sheep’s clothing) in Fallout 76And yes, I have screenshot proof that this happened. What is not pictured are all the times this guy laser-zapped me into oblivion. Maybe six?

While I lick my wounds and then grimace because it’s kind of disgusting to lick open wounds, I’ll back off to give you all space to post your own adventures, selfies, housing accomplishments, and other pictures from MMOs below.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
