One Shots: Dance like no one’s watching

Let’s kick off this week with period-appropriate disco music, fancy threads, and the coolest Orc you peons ever saw. Minimalistway is tearing up the Auction House dance floor in World of Warcraft with “Glorbo,” who is fueled solely by the power of the meme engine.

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk
Music loud and women warm, I’ve been kicked around
Since I was born

Defying all of the laws of physics and self-preservation, Sixuality is pulling a “Michael Bay” in Star Wars: The Old Republic by walking away from an explosion without giving it a single glance back.

I kind of feel that if I was in any of these movies, not only would I be staring at these explosions but probably taking slow-mo video with my phone at the same time. But then again, I’m not this cool.

“While playing through Guild Wars 2’s Season 1 with some friends this week I happened to notice how the glass eagle in the pavillion in Divinity’s Reach nicely frames a view of the upper tiers of the city behind it,” said Katriana. “Sometimes it pays to look up, or out, or in any direction you don’t normally look in while playing MMOs. Sometimes you catch some interesting views.”

And sometimes you wonder how they clean all that glass. Probably some downtrodden Asura window-cleaning minimum-wage workers.

Tired And Grumpy logged into Lord of the Rings Online for the first time since 2019 to check out both the lag and the views. Plus, there’s the added benefit of making your horse climb to the top of a small mountain and then tasking it with going down again. Do a barrel roll!

RimaHadley struck a pose: “I’m really excited for FFXIV’s 10th anniversary events, so naturally I had to play around with the limited-time Gpose frames! My catgirl’s also showing off the new hairstyle added with the Mount Rokkon Variant Dungeon.”

Now is the hour of our discontent… because you haven’t posted a picture in the comments section yet! Once you do, we will be quite content indeed. Probably too content, if you know what I mean.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
