We’re hoping that you’re going out there to find the ark! It is assumed that this is the main goal of Lost Ark because why else would that be the title? We had some keys to give away for the game’s beta test that went super quickly, and we even got our own Chris to offer his first impressions of the game. I don’t think he found the ark, though, so it’s still out there!
I’ve been informed that this is not the focus of the game, but there’s no time to focus on that when there’s other beta news to discuss:
- Raph Koster’s as-yet-unnamed project finally has some concept art to look at! Sure, that’s not quite a beta, but it’s concept art. Ooh, concept art.
- Palia is heading into alpha testing at some point in the first half of 2022, which isn’t that far away but does mean that anyone hoping for December this year was overly optimistic.
- Mortal Online 2 has some springbok to offer you, and it’s delicious. Even more delicious with its latest beta patch, in fact.
- Last but not least, Lineage 2M has started its beta testing, which should be of interest to everyone else who is thinking this game is already out and playable.
Having moved through all of those items, we enter the time you’ve all been waiting for, the moment when I direct you to the list. It’s just below here, you know. We keep games in testing on there. You can let us know if something is missing from the list or has swapped test phases without us noticing. The list is all.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
