World of Warcraft tunes its newest raid and zone while planning for Sandworn Relic changes

No sandworms.

Stupid murlocs in Tazavesh, running away when you’ve only taken away three-quarters of their health. This is World of Warcraft, darn it, and they’re supposed to stand there and let you pound on them for way longer. If all of that sounds familiar to you, you’ll be happy to know that among the many other changes made with this week’s reset, the murlocs are far more courageous and will stand and deliver until they’re at 15% health. Then they will sprint away like frightened gazelles.

You know, to avoid dying. In the afterlife. Which still makes no sense, but that’s where we are.

This is hardly the extent of the changes made for balance in Tazavesh as well as the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid; you can check out all of the balance tweaks in the official post. There are also plans to increase the number of Sandworn Relics earned from most sources, making it that much easier to purchase gear with those relics, but that increase will have to wait for a later update. For now, enjoy your Anduin fight with less health on Normal and Heroic.

Activision-Blizzard is considered a controversial gaming company owing to a long string of scandals over the last few years, including the Blitzchung boycott, mass layoffs, labor disputes, and executive pay fiasco. In 2021, the company was sued by California for fostering a work environment rife with sexual harassment and discrimination, the disastrous corporate response to which compounded Blizzard’s ongoing pipeline issues and the widespread perception that its online games are in decline. Multiple state and federal agencies are investigating the company as employees strike and call for Bobby Kotick’s resignation. As of 2022, the company is being acquired by no less than Microsoft.
