One Shots: Looking down at the clouds

When Middle-earth slaps something called “Misty Mountains” on a map, friend, it better live up to that name! Michael18 proves with today’s headlining shot that there is so much mist that it actually creates clouds that you can go into — and above.

“On my recent journey to complete unfinished deeds in LOTRO’s zones released over the past few years, mostly in and around Northern Mirkwood and the Ered Mithrin, there is ample opportunity to enjoy Middle-earth’s untamed wilderness. When the Wells of Langflood fill the valley with their mist, it sometimes seems as if castle ruins can fly into the air.”

And hey y’all — any time you want to show off some marvelously arranged player housing, well, you know where the comments section is. I won’t stop you.

Josh shared this one: “Something a little different, I decided to finally decorate my apartment in FFXIV.”

Meanwhile, IronSalamander8 documented all the colors in this Garden Warfare 2 vista. “This was a nice shot of the hub, the Backyard Battleground, on my Party Imp. That’s his normal hair!”

This next picture is brought to you by the color blue, the letters G and W, and the number two.

“I took last night while getting my drank on in Dragon Fall in Guild Wars 2,” said SmiteDoctor.

And even as spring approaches, Utakata reminded us of autumnal colors in this Blade and Soul picture. “Golden apples of the sun,” so to speak!

Remember, kids, it’s a perfectly acceptable reason to bring a dungeon or raid to a screeching halt to take a cool snapshot! The pictures are our legacy!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
