Is this the episode where Bree talked about the mobile choose your own adventure stories/games she was playing? What were those called?

Heya Alli! I can’t remember which episode I rambled about ’em in, but let me rattle them off! They’re by a company called Choice of Games LLC. I’m playing on my phone, but when I google for them, I see they’re on everything, including Steam too. My understanding is that they have different tiers of quality (and price) for their games, but the ones that start with “Choice of ___” are supposed to be the best.

The three I played straight through (so far) were:
Choice of Rebels (the best one I’ve tried – amazingly drawn world, but kind of a depressing story)
Choice of the Pirate (awesome swashbuckling fun but a little short compared to Rebels – I’ve played this one twice and found the second playthrough not as impressive)
Heart of the House (this one was written well, just not my favorite setting – demon-plagued Victorian manor – and the romance I went with was meh, so maybe that was on me)

But really, all three were better than anything else I’ve tried in that genre, by a million miles. One of my guildies linked me to their website where they list off qualifications and pay for their writers, so I’m guessing the decent compensation is why they get quality.

Ping me if you play any with what you think – I’m not quite sure which one I’m going to try next, but I’m working my way through the ones that grab me. :D

If ArcheAge is the punching bag of MMO folks, I’d say Destiny 2 is the current punching bag for us Not-So-MMO people.
My friends who left mmorpgs for an mmo-lite/non-mmo did so not for lack of time but because they felt their time was better spent on the non-mmo. I guess the question for them was what would they rather choose; 10 Dungeon runs in FFXIV or 100 Overwatch matches? And yar I’m exaggerating…I’m just a little bitter that they’d rather have a $40 bag of random flavored potato chips over a $60 bottomless bowl of Head-Nod soup that requires $13+ to refill every month…I’m pushing it a little hard huh.
Also; obligatory ‘Warframe’ comment so here you go, and I want a bingo pad too!

My educated guess about the “yeti” part of the opening Justin mentioned is probably in reference to Blue Yeti microphones, but I wouldn’t put it past him to be about something entirely different.

Thanks for your replies! I think you’ve convinced me to try and dive in despite not having a ton of time to play.

I hope it works for you! I feel like you could find a slice of something like BDO and really have fun – like the people who play BDO and just do horse-breeding and ignore the rest of the game hehe.

This is the Massively Elite: Dangerous OP podcast, not to be confused with the Massively Elite Dangerous: Beyond OP podcast.

That Rift Dimensioneering is fun.
I don’t even care about gear/end-game raids/etc.
The community is very friendly and helpful, too, as evidenced by the outpouring of love for that player.
I’ve been playing casually for 6+ months. I’m level 31, and I still haven’t spent a dime in the cash shop. I found a nice guild that’s very supportive and generous.
Despite all of the negative stories you hear about Rift, I think it’s worth considering for the Dimension system and cool community.

That’s good to hear. I’ve never played, but I often want to check out the whole Dimension system.
