Battlerite is decent but due to its perspective it can be hard to aim in hectic battles. So far it’s been one of the better f2p games out there and works to balance characters without overdoing it.

Astroneer is such a great idea and the core concepts are solid but it needs more ‘stuff’. It’s in Alpha (I got it in pre-Alpha) so that’s to be expected but it still needs to be pointed out. The new research system is nice as it allows you to focus on things you want rather than randomly getting them from the research objects you collect even if it takes time to generate the research points to do so. Other recent tweaks made the small organic run generators and hence organic material to run them more desirable.

Due to these changes my new game is now the first time I built more than 1 research station at my starting base to process the objects faster for more research but also has made me seek out the aforementioned organics to run them more efficiently and especially at night when my solar panels are offline. All in all Astroneer has a lot of promise and I look forward to more depth to the game system, more planets to explore, and more challenges to overcome.
