One Shots: Once upon a tavern…

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: A group of hardy adventurers arrives in a charming yet rough-hewn tavern to map out their future exploits. And then, because ale is plentiful and the dangers many, the adventurers get smashed and procrastinate heading out for their quest. Wouldn’t this be most of us?

At least Hirku Two is honest enough to admit to stalling in Dungeons and Dragons Online: “Keeping busy while I wait for the weather to clear.”

Utakata posted this “House of the Rising Sun” picture from Blade and Soul, but admitted it might be one of the last submitted from this MMO: “With the combination of me not playing this title as much and the NC slowing down content for this game considerably, I am running out of material to post from here.”

Hurbster has a close encounter of the flying lizard kind in Final Fantasy XIV. Just remember that if you pluck of its tail, it’ll grow back in four to six weeks. Of course, the dragon’s going to totally keep a grudge on the matter, but in the meanwhile lizard tail is fine dining.

And Vincent makes me wonder if a completely black-and-white MMO might not be a cool idea.

“A very worried bunny girl pondering the state of things,” Vin said. “All effects from the in-game gpose function.”

And IronSalamander8 is surveying potential lands to conquer in one of the Plants vs. Zombies titles: “Viewing the scene of the many rooftops of Zomburbia, the Skytrooper, one of Doctor Zomobss’s elite foot soldiers, tried with some difficulty to recall which house was his.”
