In any other MMO, a child’s teddy bear is usually nothing more than a sign of innocence or an environmental storytelling cue. In The Secret World, it’s the difference between life, death, and the end of the world.
Thank goodness we have Sleepy protecting it in Transylvania: “Take my bear, get her to safety! I’ll hold them off as long as I can.”
With a pair of major MMO expansions dropping recently, I fully expected to see them represented in this column — and I was not disappointed! First up is Hikari, who’s chilling with a mega-feline in Guild Wars 2’s new player housing plot.
“Guild Wars 2’s Janthir Wilds expansion is ready for drama, throwback references, kitties, cozy house managing, and memes.”
“Starting to take screenshots again as I explore Janthir Wilds,” said Greaterdivinity. “I’ll get some of my character since I’ve got a new haircut for the new expansion, but I’ve mostly been enjoying how pretty everything is, especially the skyboxes.”
Meanwhile, William is diving — delving? — deeper than we’ve ever gone before in World of Warcraft.
“I’ve been really enjoying the landscapes from The War Within. I was worried about the underground aspects after the Zaralek Caverns sort of fell flat for me from Dragonflight, but it just feels good flying about on Khaz Algar.”
And wrapping things up is IronSalamander8 with another crazy vibrant picture from Garden Warfare 2: “Flying my pirate’s future parrot pal and taking a shot of the zombie base in the backyard battleground.”
