This month, Pokemon Go announced that it was discontinuing support for 32-bit Android mobile devices, mostly devices released prior to 2015, including the 1st-gen Moto G and the Samsung Note 3. The idea was that it would help Niantic “streamline [its] development process and focus resources on supporting newer operating systems and technologies.” Fortunately, those plans are now on hold, as this week the company said it was postponing the move and will instead use “this additional time to collect more data on impacted devices.”
