While our big winter holiday MMO roundup event isn’t coming out until next week, the snowflakes are piling up around us anyway and we’ve got to start digging out! Here are a few of the events you might want to spend your December doing:
Champions Online – This one’s already live: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the Champions Online Winter Event! The tree is up in Renaissance Center, and the Toymaker presents are hidden all around the Champions Universe! Start gathering your Winter Charms, and use them to gather special event rewards at the Toymaker’s Apprentice!
AdventureQuest 3D – Artix welcomes players back to Frostval, with new emotes, speech bubbles, and a frosty new login screen. The labyrinth, Frostlorn Raiders dungeon, and winter collections are all back too!
Runes of Magic – The Snowflake Festival is returning! It looks as if bonuses begin today, presents arrive starting Monday, and the slaughter begins Tuesday. Whee!
Destiny 2 – Bungie’s bringing back The Dawning from December 15th to January 5th. “Even the biting chill of Europa can’t freeze the warm hearts of Guardians during this special time of year. Eva Levante welcomes you to the Tower to learn a new recipe, to find an unexpected gift or two, and take a trip in your tricked-out Exotic ship while you’re at it. Spread cheer and get gear.” Groan.
Elder Scrolls Blades – Yes, the New Life Festival returns to Blades starting December 25th. “We received lots of positive feedback for rolling out daily Event Quests during this year’s Witches Festival,” Bethsoft says. “In celebration of the New Life Festival, we’re bringing them back! From December 25 – January 2, players can take on Event Quests every day for glory (and precious Sigils to spend on all-new items in the Sigil Store.) Be sure to check in January 2 as we also debut Wrath of the Undying, a brand-new Event Quest coming to Blades!”
SWGemu – Wookiees gather ’round for the return of Life Day in the original classic Star Wars Galaxies emulator.
Conqueror’s Blade – Finally, even My.Games’ Conqueror’s Blade is getting in on the winter fun with Season VI: Scourge of Winter. Expect it on December 21st. “In this new season, players will venture to the icy lands of Ostaria to face off against a new menace and save the North from desolation. Warlords from across the known world must unite if they’re to survive the long winter ahead.”
