One Shots: The crane… the crane…

I love crane machines. Yes, I know they’re a total scam, but I won something in one once, and I can’t help but throwing money at them in the vain home of repeating that epic moment. Of course, I might forswear crane machines altogether if I got one of FFXIV’s creepier races as a prize.

Vincent has no such compunctions: “Only a Lalafell would look this happy being carried around by a Death Claw!”

It’s how all of us at Massively OP get to work every day, actually.

In space, no one can hear you scream. Unless they’re right next to you, I guess? Or if you send them a Facetime video. Or if they use their imagination. There are ways around that axiom, is all I’m saying.

Arkady has a better way, by taking all of us in his suped-up ride so that we’re screamin’ “OH YEAHHHHH!” as we boost across the universe. “Here is a shot from Elite: Dangerous,” he said. “More precisely from the basement of the galaxy. Was impressed that the game shows that — stars and even background tint on one side only.”

“I very recently starting playing Blade and Soul, so I have a nice screengrab of a cutscene in that game,” wrote Ryuen.

I have nothing profound or silly to say here. It is a very nice picture. It’s the sort of picture I could bring home and show to my mom and she wouldn’t criticize my choice in pictures.

Whenever the debate of “what’s the best type of MMO mount” comes up, there’s only one right answer that will silence and have everyone nod in agreement.

Hoverboards. Always hoverboards.

Thanks Vunak, for using WildStar to remind us of this fact!

Not everyone is responsible with mounts, however.

“My Jedi Shadow, Yolie, has always been adventurous in SWTOR,” said Rafael. “She has always been one to try things out well before others. But sometimes she does go a bit overboard. In the case below, she tried to prove her tank mount could go over anything — and I mean anything. Epic Fail.”

Now that summer’s here, it’s time to start thinking of vacations! Send us in a screenshot of a place in an MMO that would make for a truly epic or relaxing vacation.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
