One Shots: It’s not easy being green

Kermit the Frog famously said that “it’s not easy being green.” But I think he was an ungrateful amphibian who didn’t comprehend that his skin tone helped him blend into the foliage and avoid being eaten by giant felt predators.

Happily, Hirku Two is more appreciative of this color: “It’s always nice to return to nature in Villagers & Heroes. Back in town I stick out like a green thumb.”

Meanwhile, the weather forecast in Eorzea calls for a shower of inexplicable floating islands and a slight chilly fog. Time to glamour up a cozy sweater!

“Here I am in Final Fantasy XIV’s Churning Mists, working on Moogle quests while the weather was ‘umbral static,'” said Ironsalamander8. “That’s my odder otter pet there with me.”

Utakata looks absolutely haunted in Blade and Soul: “If only you could see what I’ve seen with your eyes…”

Rainbows? Fluffy lambs? That cool new frozen yogurt place off of Interstate 6? What did you see?

I let me eldest son pick which of Hikari’s contributions to feature this week, and he instantly gravitated to this picture of a spaceship angling in toward a planet.

“I got shiny new flight sticks so mostly been ringing in the 2952 in Star Citizen!”

Meanwhile, Minimalistway is trying to accomplish the difficult, which is apparently trying to take a good screenshot in Diablo III. This certainly brings us back to the color theme of today’s column!

So far, it’s been a sleepy start to 2022 in regards to One Shots contributions — let’s shake off that stupor and get to posting! Show off your gorgeous, quirky, or otherwise notable MMO screenshots from your recent adventures, along with a story or two!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
