Vindictus turns 14 years old as Nexon launches the Ruin of the Forsaken update

Judging by the number of announcement posts and press releases Nexon is dispatching for Vindictus today, I think it’s safe to say that the company is pretty excited about what it’s doing with the 14-year-old game. Did I say 14? I did, and in fact, that’s the first item of note here: The classic action combat MMORPG is turning 14 years old with 21 days of gifts.

But the even bigger news is that Nexon has released the Ruin of the Forsaken update.

“Nexon’s classic hack n’ slash RPG Vindictus is back with an electrifying new update with the addition of Season 4 Episode 10, Ruin of the Forsaken,” the studio says. “This thrilling update will have players face off against a new boss, their own friend, Spinos, who has succumbed to despair and hatred. The update also includes exhilarating new four-person raid content along with celebratory events and rewards that players won’t want to miss.” In addition to the new storyline and False Confession raid, the game is offering a slew of events and rewards.

“To celebrate the update, brand-new events will be available. Nexon will award players with an additional Evil Core until October 29th, upon completing the “False Confession” raid. Also, the Fresh Fall Hero Pass event will run until November 26th, offering players the opportunity to earn various rewards, including the 2024 Hero Voice Destiny Box – Fall and Clone Outfit Crafting Box by leveling up their pass through a variety of missions.”

Happy birthday, Vindictus!

We leave you with this mental image of this poor woman with a deformed spinal column. It’s the game that’s 14, mind you, not the lady. Phrasing!
