One Shots: Christmas delivery

We all know that Amazon delivers pretty much everywhere with its crazy two-day shipping, but did you realize that the company could do so in space? We have actual photographic proof of this in Star Citizen, thanks to Deekay Zero.

“Few things are more festive than last minute Xmas shopping and rushing to catch the train at Lorville!” he said. “Many mmorpg’s have little girls with big guns as a trope, but does your MMO have NO girls and EVEN BIGGER guns? I DON”T THINK SO! (I’m really tired of playing male toons. Can first quarter 2019 get done already please?)”

So… what’s in the box? Is it a release date? ‘Cause that’d be tremendous.

“I don’t do Christmas cards,” Rafael posted. “I’m not against the practice. It’s just a pain to get the right photo. But Black Desert does make it easy, doesn’t it? I could take these caps to Kinko’s and walk out with all the cards I need right now. Now, if I could automate the rest of the process, I would definitely maybe do it.”

You really should — that’s a stunning pic!

Of course, Christmastime means different things for different people, especially if you’re a semi-rotting reanimated post-human trying to survive the holidays in the World of Warcraft.

Hirku’s got it made, though: “Here we see my Undead Priest gathering ingredients for the Christmas feast.”

Yum?

Lt. Cmdr. JonBuck send in this picture from Star Trek Online and Q’s Winter Wonderland. I’d say that this is far too unrealistic for Star Trek, but then again, have you actually watched the show? It’s a parade of zany non sequiturs sometimes! This would be downright normal.

“Getting a white tree in FFXIV was a big thing!” exclaimed Toy Clown. “Especially with how bad I am at conducting a choir!”

Any festival that you can walk away from with arms loaded full of cosmetics, toys, and home decor is a good festival. Merry Christmas!

As we prepare for our last One Shots of 2018, I have a special favor to ask of our readers for this week’s screenshot challenge. How about you go back through the 2018 archives of this column and pick one or two favorite submissions that someone else did — and then repost them telling us what you liked about them! Kind of a “reader’s favorite” award show thing!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
