Oh, please be all right.

On this week’s show, Bree and Justin salute Fallen Earth’s “retirement,” look at Astellia’s strange subscription option, cover yet more WoW Classic insanity, wonder what CCP is up to behind closed doors, catch up with City of Heroes Homecoming, and figure out how to combat swatting in the gaming community.

It’s the Massively OP Podcast, an action-packed hour of news, tales, opinions, and gamer emails! And remember, if you’d like to send in your own letter to the show, use the “Tips” button in the top-right corner of the site to do so.

I can’t wait to listen to this at work today.

Typo on the front page blurb though. “Mailbah”… I am going to start saying that.

I discovered Fallen Earth through Massively, and it was that which led to this being the only MMO I’ve ever been in at launch. It’s good to see you guys are still giving it the attention it deserves.

I’m going to stay optimistic that it will return – in a world where we’re playing City of Heroes in 2019 anything is possible – but even if it doesn’t it will remain one of my favourite games, and playing it again just now just reminds me how good it is.

It’s also currently running better than it has for a long time. It’s not flawlessly smooth by any means, but it’s definitely playable right now.

Chosing Last Call for the opening was a great touch. Shoulda play the entire song. It’s just an incredible song. FE ost is incredible.

Here’s to hope for a great comeback.

I empathize with Justin regarding WoW classic. I had to be drug along by others to level back in 2004, and if I didn’t have a group of those I love bugging me about it now, I’d drop out.

But I made it through Ragefire Caverns as a level 8 healer with a bunch of clueless randos without losing anyone. It was close enough and chaotic enough to tickle something I’d forgotten, and that was great.

Then in my newfound enthusiasm I dumped my points into healing, scrounged up a set with some pitiful +2 healing/wisdom and spent the following week hating my life on the way to 20.

Ran Wailing Caverns with the family on Sunday. I had to triage a few people, but we got through it without fatigue. Druid got pants and gloves. I passed on the boots to get him his set bonus. Excitement restored.

I’ve slacked off the past two days. Ugh, and level 50 is only half way there. If I had to do this for money, I’d seriously just look up a quick-leveling guide, spent twenty bucks in the black market to pre-gear and maybe enlist some of my readers/fans for some scheduled powerleveling sessions.

Awesome Fallen Earth sunset. Very nice touch! I SO hope FE makes a comeback in some form! I have to wonder if it’ll get the emulator treatment like some others have?
Justin you’ve had a place in your heart for this game for a long time. Thank you and Massively for keeping all of us informed!
