As the reluctant owner of a slightly deranged cat, I have nightmares of when felines grow into towering, snide monstrosities and roam the planet looking for food and things to bat off of counters. So thank you, Hikari, for giving me a glimpse of what this furry dystopia would look like.
“Related, a few more shots of Guild Wars 2’s Catpocalypse, no, that’s not right? Cat-aclysm? Would WoW sue us for that?” Hikari asked.
I think WoW would prefer to pretend that Cataclysm never existed. Quietly sweep that under the rug and be like, “Deathwing? Deathwing who?”
So the cat thing comes from last week’s screenshot challenge, which was to show off vanity pets in inappropriate settings. So I definitely think that Random MMO Fan’s Final Fantasy XIV picture here fits the bill, as a bunch of kittens are hanging out at what looks like a burlesque club.
Hurbster decided that it was time to take a little doggy to work. Unfortunately, it was in Elder Scrolls Online, and “work” was a “fiery cavern of necromancy.”
“Always be aware of your surroundings when walking your pet,” said Hurbster. Take notes, kids.
“Trying to get my little puppy to take a bath in World of Warcraft, but for some reason she’s not too thrilled about the idea,” said Lucky Jinx. Yes, dog, head into the lake of ironic death. Go ahead.
And as always, Utakata is off in a private wonderland of whimsy — and this time, there’s a Blade and Soul pet to keep company. “She said, ‘Hey, babe…take a walk on the wild side.’ Doo do doo do doo do do doo,” Utakata sang.
This week’s screenshot challenge is to go sight-seeing in palaces and throne rooms to see how the 0.001% live! Would you want to live in such luxury?
