This week in MMO crowdfunding news, SOE fans banded together and attempted to Kickstart this year’s Fan Faire. You might recall that Columbus Nova cancelled the annual festivities after purchasing SOE, laying off a bunch of staff, and rebranding the firm as Daybreak.
Project Fan Faire seeks $35,000 in funding and has already secured hotel space in Las Vegas provided that 175 attendees are willing to confirm. You can view the rest of this week’s crowdfunding roundup after the cut.

jgauthier45 I have absolutely nothing to do with Project Fan Faire, so I don’t know the answers to any of your questions.
Maybe you should go to the Project Fan Faire Kickstarter page and ask them?
I am at the point where I want some of the titles I have already funded to start producing some results.Â
So far, only Star Citizen and Camelot Unchained really seem to be serious about meeting their commitments.
Landmark and Shroud of the Avatar have been pretty big disappointments, for me.
Downloading SC from scratch for 1.1 This is going to be great(long)
Peregrine_Falcon Even if they do get this funded, isn’t the fan faire going to be missing a few huge key componants? Â IE the vendors & the Daybreak dev’s? Â The major point of the modern fan faire is the panels, reveals, and parties… Without the vendors or the dev’s, it’s just an empty banquet hall rented for the weekend.
Project Fan Faire – I wish you luck with your Kickstarter campaign.
