This week’s edition of One Shots is brought to you by the National Hugs and Fistbumps Council, which recommends that everyone enjoy at least five full embraces every day, preferably without something creepy whispered in the ear. “I can feel your tummy gurgling against my tummy.” That sort of thing.
It’s also brought to you by Kawaii Five-O, who’s having some fun in Final Fantasy XIV. “I’m enjoying the Moonfire Faire festivities with a special someone,” she said. “While not an unplayable race, I do wish the Au Ra (females in particular) more closely resembled their early concept art that depicted them as being much more demonic and imposing looking and less of a cutesy human with horns and a spattering of scales.”
Continuing with last week’s screenshot challenge, other readers shared which MMO race they wish they could play as. For example, Miol seems won over by a particularly brutal race in Guild Wars 2.
“There are so many NPC races I would want to play as, but Ogres certainly weren’t one of them until now. Through the current preview weekend I was really surprised to see that they got one hell of a revamp!”
BalsBigBrother is enjoying Path of Exile’s newest expansion: “I am having fun with what is now my third build in the new expansion that makes use of a skill called blade vortex. That is exactly how it sounds: You cast a spell which makes up to 20 whirling blades surround your character. You then introduce this blade blender to the mob’s face for what can be some pretty pleasing explosions of gore.”
“When I was a little boy, I always wanted to be a Sasquatch. But I lost it. Don’t lose your Sasquatch,” wrote Hirku.

“The Guild Wars 2 expansion demo is live this weekend,” said Hugmonster, “and any normal person would quickly get in to see the new content. But I am not normal. I got stuck at how pretty the new login screen background is and how I can use it to take glorious screenshots of my characters.”
Because why not, really?
I hope everyone is doing fine! One Shots comment sections seem quieter than usual lately. So let’s liven things up by sharing pictures of things in MMOs that really annoy you. For me, it would be a massive gallery of jumping puzzles.
