Hearts and chocolates and flowers continue to invade MMOs all around us. Bree here, reporting from the front lines of the invasion. Here are a few more entries about the pink hellscape descending on us next week.
Black Desert is running a Valentine’s Day screenshot contest. Literally, one of the requirements is that somebody in the image has to be dressed up as Cupid.
EverQuest II is catching up with its elder sibling by launching Erollisi Day. “There are many ways to join in on this light-hearted holiday! Lovers should be sure to pay visit Darklight Wood, the Stonebrunt Highlands, Butcherblock Mountains, Lavastorm, Great Divide, and the Thundering Steppes. Celebrations of love and passion will also take place in Antonica, the Commonlands and New Halas. And don’t forget, love notes and message candies hold worth with tradeskillers, and lovely merchants can be found in Qeynos and Freeport.”
Don’t ask me why Valentine’s Day needs to be in Destiny 2, but it is. There, it’s called Crimson Days, and it involves 2v2 matches, shiny red bows, and heart emotes.
MapleStory 2 is already the king of cute, and it’s getting cuter with two V-day-themed events and “Lovey-Dovey Daily Wonders.” There’s a hot tub and a new instrument that spews heart bubbles. I kinda want it.
Revelation Online is running a themed competition: “All you have to do is post some fitting text, an image or some video to our Discord channel; something that either explains or alludes to how your relationship came to blossom. It can be a short comic strip, a captioned screenshot, but if you do opt for text please submit it in English.” Prizes include some sweet mounts, titles, and cosmetics.
Finally, Wizard101 is welcoming back the Friendship Festival! “Your favorites, Valentina HeartSong and the Friendship Mystery Fish, are back for a limited time in the Shopping District. Time to show your fellow Wizard friends how much they mean to you.”
