One Shots: Unholy abominations

We may view them as horrible monsters who are standing between us and our precious loot, but have you ever considered life — such as it is — from their perspective? Nobody finds them desirable, they’re forced to live in dank places, and imminent death comes rushing at them from every corner. Have pity on the abomination.

Minimalistway shared this forlorn soul from World of Warcraft, saying, “I think it’s beautiful. The end boss of this dungeon looks like a mass of death and decay. Taking screenshot for it before the fight is better, as at least you can see some details.”

“This is what happens when a few hundred players converge on a single area in FFXIV (Ishgard Restoration), and they all have to wait 30 minutes for the event to actually start,” posted Scott. “This began as a Dance party, but everyone decided to use their ‘charmed’ emotes and turned it into a rave!”

Lucky Jinx shared a place where no death is allowed: “If we are getting morbidly cool corpses, then let’s have some beauty too with this picture in the Emerald Dreamway.”

Who’s gonna mow that lawn, is all I’m wondering. I can picture some Druid gardener puttering back and forth on his John Deer. Vrooom.

Utakata posted a picture of a dead city from Blade and Soul, adding, “All mobs around this ‘biome’ are not exactly alive, but all deceased mobs insta-dissipate in the respective game.”

Self-dissolving corpses, leaving only the fresh scent of pine behind! So considerate.

We were a little low on submissions this past week, so that means I have to subject you to the HORROR and TERROR that is a pick from my own screenshots folder. My submission today is from Guild Wars 2, showing a starry oasis in the midst of Path of Fire.

That’s it for this week, but the fun continues in the comments! Share some of your best or most notable screenshots from your MMO gaming, along with a story or description.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
