One Shots: Rock out in your hideout

I don’t have a full-blown lair, unless my work office counts, but if I did, I would aspire to put it someplace really cool. Like on the top pointy thing of the Great Pyramids or inside the mouth of George Washington in Mt. Rushmore. Or, you know, the moon.

Mysecretid is way ahead of me on this: “One feature that Champions Online does very well is its Hideout system. Hideouts are really nice semi-customizable personal bases (housing) for your superheroes, and every character gets one. You can invite your friends in, and you can even designate a base as your supergroup’s HQ. Here’s my main in Champions Online just hanging out in his personal moonbase. Yes, I have my own moonbase! How cool is that?”

“It’s Hallow’s End in World of Warcraft, so I disguised myself as undead Abomination and started throwing stink bombs in Undercity,” said Minimalistway.

I guess you’re going with “trick” more than “treat” there? But your mere presence in a screenshot is a treat for us, so that backfired!

Sixuality is just enjoying the view: “Revisiting Guild Wars 2 for the first time in years, I’m reminded how everything in that game is an objective or an activity or otherwise Something To Do. Even just looking at things.”

Vincent Clark’s latest ride in Final Fantasy XIV gets high marks for coolness, but very low marks for “comfort” and “safety.” Seriously, if I’m going to be more than a foot off the ground in a flying machine that exposes me to the elements, you’re going to have to strap me into one of those five-point harness children’s seats and then probably blindfold me.

“Here’s a shot of serenity around the Jade Forest in Mists of Pandaria, my favorite World of Warcraft expansion,” said Lucky Jinx. “I’m rather excited to start my journey with a Shaman. Some very good changes for the class came along as we are saying good bye to Battle for Azeroth.”

That’s it for this week, but the fun continues in the comments! Share some of your best or most notable screenshots from your MMO gaming, along with a story or description.

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
