Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and a festive Life Day to you all! As you hopefully enjoy some down time with family, friends, and video games this weekend, we’ll engage in our favorite non-eggnog-related tradition by posting some holly and jolly music to enjoy.
This year, I reached out to our readers and asked which MMO holiday festival music they love the best. We got many responses, so here’s a mix tape from the best and brightest among the MOP community. Enjoy!
Roger from the MMO blog Contains Moderate Peril nominated Q’s Winter Wonderland from Star Trek Online, saying that “it just sticks with you.”
Joe wasn’t going to the opportunity pass to subject us to this piece of FFXIV awfulness.
Tanek is neck-deep in Guild Wars 2’s Wintersday — and has heard this theme more than once at this point.
“While it’s not specifically winter/holiday themed, FFXIV’s Everywhere and Nowhere FEELS like winter ambience to me,” said Starspun.
Phoenix nominated this relatively new LOTRO holiday tune…
…as well as this lovely World of Warcraft Winter Veil medley.
“I love that FFXIV has its own very Christmassy song without just ripping Jingle Bells or something,” said Syl.
Skro said, “LOTRO’s Land Of The Lossoths puts in quite a nordic/snowy/icy mood, I use it often as a background soundtrack for my RPGs when in the cold.”
And how can we celebrate the holidays without a little cheer from WildStar?
