One Shots: Totes adorbs

My call out for favorite fantasy races a while back did spur a few of you to share screenshots depicting your beloved species. Kristina put her vote down for the shortest, spunkiest, and sassiest race in Guild Wars 2.

“Asura are my favorite by far,” she submitted. “In EverQuest 1 and 2 I was always a pretty high elf, but then came along the adorable and lovable Asura with their cute emotes, voice overs and funny movements. They bring out my inner child and now I have a difficult time playing any other race. Excelsior!”

As someone who mained an Asuran Engineer for a long time, I totally agree. It’s the closest I’ll be able to play Stitch in an MMO.

“Here’s my Elder Scrolls Online character re-enacting Jaques-Louis David’s famous painting ‘Napoleon Crossing the Alps’,” sent in Plynkes. “Unfortunately there were no Alps available at the time, and my character doesn’t really look anything like Bonaparte, so it is more like ‘Skeletor Crossing the Beach.’ Oh well.”

Fat chocobos! Either they’re disgusting, dinner, or delightful to you. For reader Axelay, I’m guessing it’s the first, as he posted a handful of these hilarious plump birdies.

Final Fantasy XIV saw a great influx of the rare and elusive OFC (Original Fat Chocobo), and adventurers came from across the realm to show off their plump plumage,” he wrote.

“Getting my wings in The Secret World is my victory pose,” reader ThreeSpeed posted. “Thanks to KillSaw for the help and screenshot!”

The wings are absolutely terrific, don’t get me wrong, but does it bug anyone else that they don’t help you to fly? I want to be an avenging angel of death with a shotgun, darn it.

Congrats toTSGaming, who sent in the following screenshot to commemorate his reaching level 32 in Grim Dawn. It makes me feel bad, because I bought this at launch and have been meaning to play more of it, especially after Bree went on and on about it at length (of course, I don’t think she has had the time to beat it either, so my guilt is lessened).

We all like to take screenshots to mark those special occasion in our gaming journeys, so this week’s challenge to to post some of those and share why that particular moment was special to you. Did you hit the level cap? Start up a character in that game for the first time? Beat a dungeon?

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
