I think that there’s a lot of dark beauty to be found in MMORPGs, but hey, when I ask the One Shots community to share their vision of what that may be, I get a selection of Hot Topic employees at work. Maybe they’ll give us a discount on those Nightmare Before Christmas scarves?
Anyway, Natalyia is kicking us off this week with another ridiculously beautiful Black Desert picture. I am pretty sure that Black Desert isn’t even a game anymore but an Adobe Photoshop demo program to make the rest us feel ashamed to be playing our low-res titles.
“Here is got my black-clad Dark Knight admiring the Heidel sunset,” she wrote before handing us a flyer for 20% off all anime products.

“You asked for shots of our favourite MMO race, so of course I’m going to send you a Blood Elf pic. The only question was, which Blood Elf? I have so very many, you see. So I went with my Mage. He was my first main in WoW, and while I largely abandoned him in favour of my Warlock a long time ago, he still feels like the best character to show off my Sin’dorei pride. This shot was taken just after the player model updates, as I gawked at his spiffy new high rez face.”
“Are there stages of grief, when you die yourself?” Miol asked. “Is this one denial, anger, or bargaining?”
Miol, my friend, you are getting way, way too deep for what is no doubt a simple resurrection prompt in Guild Wars 2. The only thing that guy judges is where he gets his renn-faire outfits.
Hikari has more Black Desert visuals to shame the rest of us. SHAME, SHAME!

Hirku’s “dark queen” is holding court in this Star Wars: The Old Republic screenshot. Every time I see a Sorcerer flash lightning everywhere, I have so many safety questions to ask. Like, how does she not get shocked herself? Does she wear rubber soles? Is she accidentally frying all of her electronics all the time? Can she recharge her smartphone with that? Why is “lightning” the Dark Side’s thematic power? Could the Light Side get thunder and then they get together to put on a cool sound-and-light show?
