If you are subbed, then there upkeep cost with owning a home once you’ve bought it in LotRO, so the only way to lose one is to not be subbed and not have enough gold in your account to pay the monthly upkeep.

Personally I like the vip perk of being subbed being that you don’t have to pay monthly upkeep on a home. That’s what being premium is in my opinion in regards to this. So I have to disagree with MJ’s issue with losing their house.

Damn mental typos. Above should be “then there is no upkeep cost”.

One of the neat things TennoCon did was create a special social hub for players to hang out in, and at certain points during the main presentation players in the hub would be transported to a mystical asset showroom to have an in-game look at whatever the devs had just talked about.

And two of the really neat things coming with Heart of Deimos that MJ didn’t mention – the moon has a day/night cycle where at dawn a giant shiny-headed Sun Wyrm emerges from the ground and flings a giant fireball across the sky at the Moon Wyrm, killing it and spraying its blood across the moon’s surface, the Moon Wyrm spends the day regenerating and returns the favour at dusk. And one of the rooms on player ships is growing a big mouth on the wall (resembling Audrey 2 from “Little Shop of Horrors”) they can feed with resources and Warframes to unlock mix’n’match class abilities.

Thankfully I only had a lowbie alt on DDO’s Wayfinder server that I’d not played in about a year, but I feel like they really made a mess of the situation – the limited time “compensation” experience & loot buff has just caused a huge influx of players from other servers who want to take advantage of it while being useless to anyone who was so upset by the rollback that they’re taking a break from the game, it doesn’t compensate for lost quest progress and associated rep gain (which is in many ways more important than xp or loot), and while cash shop points are being refunded those 3 weeks had some *huge* sales in (up to 75% off certain stuff) which the rollbacked characters have now missed out on.

I like the idea of social classes, MMO developers can add them to current games if they want to, just give each character 2 classes, 1 combat and 1 social, or even make it a little more interesting by letting the player play whatever social role they want depend on the context or the place.
