One Shots: My best buddy and me

One of the best parts of MMORPGs is when you make good friends while online. Of course, those are supposed to be human friends — not bonds made with the very enemies we fight. Guess Ardra Diva didn’t get that message, because here we have a buddy comedy in the making in Lord of the Rings Online.

“I am pretty sure he nodded when I said in perfect Black Speech, ‘Don’t start none, won’t be none,'” Arda said.

Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons fever is sweeping through parts of the community these days, and Vincent is there for it. As usual, he’s having fun with filters to take a great scene and make it even better.

“No rest for the wicked. I really…really…would like it if Guild Wars 2 had a proper screenshot tool (similar to gpose in FFXIV). Until then, we do what we can,” Vincent said.

Sleepy invited us all over to a very Viking “virtual homestead” in Valheim. It looks perfectly serene and completely defenseless. Ripe for the plundering? Remind me when Sleepy goes to the store next week.

Zulika Mi-Nam found this Fallout-like area in Lost Ark and thought it was worthy of a share. Once again, I have to wonder what’s holding any of this impossible architecture up, because it’s a building code nightmare waiting for a future class action suit.

And finally, here’s a striking picture that I took in Dungeons and Dragons Online’s Harbor area after accidentally helping a cult to wake up some super-evil demon. But hey, gorgeous sunset and all that!

Let’s flex our print screen fingers and get to capturing those amazing, interesting, or out-and-out strange sights in our MMOs! See you down in the comments!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
