One Shots: A sticky situation, indeed

While I am a general fan of honey, the fact that this is a dessert guarded by hundreds of bees does turn my attention elsewhere when I’m craving sweets. Although I admit that I never did think of a hive of honeycombs the most ideal spot for a jumping puzzle. Guild Wars 2 did, though.

“Just mind the bees,” said Katriana. “They can get a bit feisty if you don’t treat them right. Or drive you mad with their buzzing. This is also known as a jumping puzzle with an added quest of talking to three bees in a particular order inside a hidden cave in Lowland Shores. I didn’t see it myself, but was told it gets unpleasant in there if you don’t talk to them in the right order.”

Last week I put out a challenge to show your characters eating or drinking in-game, and Vincent came through with this very classy, very refined Final Fantasy XIV screenshot. “A festive and joyous Samhain to all!”

If your body hasn’t overloaded from the sugar of all of the leftover Halloween candy, Minimalistway is going to replicate that right to your brain with this FFXIV pic: “I’m in love with the all-the-colors mode.”

Honestly, I was tempted to make this black-and-white as a prank. So tempted.

William is dining on a Panera bread bowl in World of Warcraft: “I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but sourdough bread is just the tops, and I think Dracthyr would agree – especially when enjoyed in the spooky woods of Drustvar.”

And we’ll wrap this up with a submission from Ocho, who shows either a superhero or serial killer in Champions Online dashing right into the barrels of many assault rifles. As one does.

As we root about in the dregs of our Halloween buckets — yech, Smarties — let’s get another amazing round of MMO screenshots going in the comments! Need a challenge? How about taking a picture of a boss in whatever raid or dungeon you’re doing this week!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
