We’re taking a time-machine back through our MMO coverage, month by month, to hit the highlights and frame our journey before we head into 2019!

Neowiz’s long-suffering MMORPG Bless Online launched into an odd sort of early access soft beta in May of this year, and though all the warning signs were there, people leaped in anyway, faced with downtime, bugs, missing content, duping, cash-shop shenanigans, and refund nightmares.

Of course, Bless wasn’t the only big thing in May; Conan Exiles made its formal debut out of early access (it was a mess), Worlds Adrift entered early access (also a mess), Wild West Online lurched out of early access (you guessed ita mess), Star Citizen sank to new lows in crowdfunding, H1Z1 pulled big numbers on PS4, Tencent bought up a majority stake in Grinding Gear Games, and classic Guild Wars got its first patch in years.

Read on for the whole list from May of this past year!
