We’re taking a tour back through our MMO coverage, month by month, to hit the highlights and frame our journey before we launch into 2020 and a whole new decade of MMOs!

I don’t think any of us could’ve predicted that April 2019 was going to be the month that gamers exposed a secret City of Heroes rogue server that forced the code out into the open and spawned multiple new servers and drama and hoaxes and thousands of people back home in the game as players negotiated with NCsoft for legitimacy. But here we are.

Meanwhile, SWTOR announced Onslaught, Albion Online went free-to-play, Anthem continued having a rough time, PWE’s Foundries sunsetted, Secret World Legends drew side-eyes, we took a peek at Elder Scrolls Online’s Elsweyr, and on the homefront, we hired some fresh writers!
