Lord of the Rings Online seems deliberately designed to make even people who enjoy organizing inventories (me) a wee bit crazy about it. I run a very tight ship with my characters’ banks, but damn if they aren’t constantly filled, usually with crafting mats. I literally have mules to help store it all, but a normal person will quickly find her inventory overflowing with everything from task junk to endless gear upgrades. Even with a large wardrobe, I find myself hanging on to cosmetics in my bank too. Even now I’m looking at this random screenshot of my Lore-master’s bank and wondering why I don’t chuck the fireworks and maps. I should do this today.
Maybe the answer to the Daily Grind question will change based on the MMO – but is that even true? I mean, the bulk of my stuff in SWG Legends is resources, followed by housing deco, although technically that’s all in my houses (I seldom use the bank). The bulk of my stuff in City of Heroes is crafting materials and crafted enhancements. Albion? Crafting. Trove? Crafting. Guild Wars 2? Well, if I count crafting storage, it’s crafting too! Is it because I’m usually drawn to crafting in MMOs? Or is crafting just a space sink even for people who never craft?
What’s clogging up your main MMO character’s bank right now? What do you devote the most precious digital space to?
