When I drive around and look at the sea of boring cars with mostly the same shapes in the same four colors, I can understand why a vibrant variety of mounts in MMOs appeal to us so much. When you don’t have to worry about safety ratings or MPG and can enjoy the aesthetic, why not fully express yourself?
Such as with… a giant cyber chicken, as Vincent sports here? Hey, this is pretty tame for Final Fantasy XIV and probably comes with its own driving rave soundtrack!

Minimalistway’s mount in Star Wars: The Old Republic has a frog face, yes, but its eyes silently tell the terror of dozens of years service in a dry and sun-blasted landscape without any lubrication or blinking.
And Hikari is collecting all the people in The First Descendant for what I’ll assume are totally above-the-board scientific experiments.
