Massively OP Podcast Episode 109: We are all Dragonborn

Roll for initiative! Bree and Justin are getting all kinds of nerdy with this week’s show, in which they talk about Dragon-people, the return of a long-abandoned sci-fi game, a momentous anniversary, and the viability of sandbox MMOs.

It’s the Massively OP Podcast, an action-packed hour of news, tales, opinions, and gamer emails! And remember, if you’d like to send in your own letter to the show, use the “Tips” button in the top-right corner of the site to do so.

Glad I could provide you with so much amusement from architectural terms Bree ;) I totally agree about the need for better tools to work with in a Landmark-type building game. I liked Landmark, but admit that I kind of gave up on it after awhile because I simply didn’t have the patience or desire to spend hours and hours performing high level voxelmancy to create the things I wanted to create. Give us more intuitive tools though, and I’ll totally give it another shot.

Thanks for taking time to answer the questions :) I enjoyed the rants as always ;)

I would just love it if more MMOs incorporated physics-based rules and fun mechanics to go along with them. Playing the new Zelda game and having a bunch of fun with its simple, easy to understand tools makes me want that kind of entertainment in an MMO format.

I must of been three years old then when EQ came out kek.

I have tried to play it a couple times over the years, never could get far, always been stuck at the whole “hail” system which blows up my brain in figuring it out.

Thank you! :D (It is super pretty too. I hadn’t met a real contender for “better MMORPG city than Divinity’s Reach” before. Now I have.)

I hope someone cracks the Landmark formula and makes something that has the same level of in game creativity along with a good level of the usual mmo stuff that we expect. One day and I hope I am still around when it gets here.

Oh and preach it Bree agree with the end bit rant :-)
