Make My MMO: Saga of Lucimia’s challenge, Camelot Unchained’s siege demo

1

This week in MMO crowdfunding, Saga of Lucimia, which spent most of last year with its head down working and popped up last month to announce a tentative launch date in 2021, released a video dev blog all about challenge. Stormhaven Studios notes that people have different ideas of what challenge means, but in Lucimia, it’s all about group gameplay.

Camelot Unchained also offered up a full apology for last week’s weirdly handled reveal of a second game that set the playerbase on fire; CSE’s Mark Jacobs sat down to demo the game’s current state for the public yesterday, providing a roadmap for future development.

Meanwhile, Star Citizen fans scuffled over a security breach, Book of Travels announced plans for a spring beta, Temtem banned cheaters, Albion Online dropped a guide to zerging, Valiance Online posted a brief internal update, Shroud of the Avatar began a player town directory, and OrbusVR updated players on its mini-story pack.

Read on for more on what’s been up with MMO crowdfunding over the last week, plus our roundup of all the crowdfunded MMOs we’re following!

Yes, some crowdfunded MMOs most definitely do succeed. But others crash and burn, and you need to hear about the whole spectrum of games that sought your money early in exchange for the promise of input and transparency. And that’s exactly what Make My MMO does every Saturday. Help us keep ’em accountable, would ya?

My even dumber question is why does a site that is named “Massively OP” and was derived from a similarly named site cover non-MMOs at all?

Why not leave all those other genres to sites dedicated to them that cover them much better and in a more timely fashion?
