Yeah regrettably handing power of moderation in random players won’t end well, it reminds me of the massive backlash YouTube got when they attempted a program called YouTube Heroes where selected users could have the power to remove comments off videos. It never went ahead as the opportunity for abusing such power was far too high.

Although… I swear Runescape did it. I think they gave a very select number of players the power to like mute other players in the game, like moderators in the game kinda, but I’m not sure if it was like them flagging comments went to the top priority of a paid Jagex mod or if they had the power themselves.

Asking “Does anyone really care about that” here is like asking 7 year old kids “any one really want candy?” … of course we care, at least i do, i’ll wait for the tour :-)

Your talk about chat moderation reminds me a lot of Facebook, their own study proved the negative effect of their algorithms and yet they did nothing about it, and if it wasn’t for the outside pressure on the company they will do nothing, i know many people don’t go there any more but that does not change the fact that Facebook reach more than 2 billion people around the world, that is too much power in the hand of one company.

I would have set the opposite Summerset was standout and Elsweyr was middling personally.
Haven’t played more than the first part of Greymoor though so couldn’t comment as to the quality of the latest expansion.
