I’m well aware that this is going to be a hard Daily Grind to answer because it used to be an award, and it was a hard award to decide too. To that end, I’ve been keeping a little list of cool MMO events all year long, stuff that’s way beyond just “patch day.”

For example, there was Star Citizen’s player-led Daymar Rally, the EverQuest franchise’s return to an in-person annual event in Fippyfest, the Stop Killing Games initiative focused on game preservation, City of Heroes’ player-led Haunted House event for new players, Digital Extremes’ Tennocon for Warframe and Soulframe, EVE Online’s ongoing Project Discovery, Black Desert’s Heidel Ball literally held at a castle in France, the Secret World community-led anniversary, World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary spectacle, and Star Citizen’s CitizenCon. And this is just a few of them!

Which MMORPG launched the best event of 2024? Did you actually attend anything yourself?

At the turn of every calendar year, the MassivelyOP team assembles a traditional feast of annual content for your table. We recap the year, issue awards, highlight our favorite (and least favorite) stories, and gather your opinions together to send off the last year and welcome the new one. Grab a plate and take a bite out of this year-end Daily Grind!
