New Games and Testing
- Eco: The world-building and -destroying simulator has officially gone into alpha. The team posted the patch notes if you’re curious what’s included in this edition. [Thanks to Dengar for the tip!]
Patches
- Allods Online: Patch 6.0.3, Invisible Bonds, makes it possible for smaller 12-player teams to tackle raids and reap the same rewards.
- Forsaken World Mobile: Babel Ascending, the game’s first update, brings a marriage system and a 100-floor dungeon to players.
- Continent of the Ninth: C9 has added a new competitive dungeon called Ancient Arena for players level 51 and higher. Special loot awaits those who pull ahead of the pack!
- HEX: The latest Armies of Myth update fixes a few small issues, such turning back on sound for playing cards and optimizing the game’s CPU usage.
Events and Contests
- Wakfu Raiders: See a turkey? Kill a turkey. Refill stamina. That’s the name of the game in Wakfu Raiders… at least until November 30th. The title also added a fifth combo attack for players. [Source: Ankama press release]
Odds and Ends
- Star Trek Online: Cryptic and players teamed up to raise $35,000 for the Pop Culture Hero Coalition, a charity headed by DS9 actress Chase Masterson that’s devoted to combating bullying. Cryptic donated all sales of a series of ships over a few days to the charity.
- Aion: The European version of the game is making adjustments to its schedule, prioritizing a December release on Steam over server merges in January.
- League of Legends: As part of its effort to tame the disagreeable elements of its community, Riot will be shutting toxic players out of a new treasure chest system that’s slated for release next year.
- Peripherals: Looking for a new mouse? Dux is making a device that’s specifically geared toward MMO gamers. It boasts 19 buttons, two scroll wheels, and the ability to swap back and forth between computers for multi-boxing.
- Path of Exile: The action-RPG’s next expansion Ascendency isn’t out yet, but players can buy supporter packs right now that include a stone gargoyle pet.
- Skyforge: The scifi MMO throws a class spotling on the dreaded Necromancer, which utilizes damage-over-time and group management skills to fearsome effect.

Nexon Korea has a trio of anime series in the works based off of Elsword, Closers, and Arpiel. Each show will run about a dozen episodes at 12 minutes apiece. Check out the trailer below:
