Interested in going back to Star Wars Galaxies — or trying it out for the first time — but you find yourself paralyzed with all of the rogue server choices out there? MMO Folklorist put together an excellent guide to all of the options and their current development to help you make your pick.

“Holiday events have been synonymous with Star Wars Galaxies since the first Life Day event back in 2003. Since then, Empire Day, the Galactic Moon Festival, and the Ewok Festival of Love have become staples in the game’s calendar, with many rogue servers choosing to continue their traditions.”

Magic shield.

Virtual Bastion is one of those crazies who actually roll alts in FFXIV: “In hindsight, I don’t outright regret my choice to run three new FFXIV characters. The process taught me tons about the game, how things worked, what’s worth doing and what can be ignored (initially), and what playstyle is right for me (for now). But, it might have been a good idea to give each character a little more breathing room, rather than running one after another.”

Tales of the Aggronaut is setting Path of Exile on fire: “A few leagues ago I had attempted to go down the Righteous Fire path but ultimately stalled out because I loved the play style of Wintertide Brand. In the Inquisitor RF path, this is supposed to be just a jumping-off point, but I leaned into the gameplay so heavily that I never really made the conversion to RF and started going off in my own direction trying to make Wintertide a viable endgame build.”

Hey. I got a ball.

Kaylriene looked at the good, bad, and ugly of World of Warcraft’s recent crafting changes: “In short, it’s different, more interesting, but not necessarily better, and it suffers from being pointed at an idea without understanding the process of how that idea arrived and is supported while not being able to rock the boat too much.”

The EverQuest Show shared some unreleased concept art for EQII: Renewal of Ro: “The EverQuest Show received these previously unreleased pieces of concept art for the Renewal of Ro expansion. There are 4 pieces in total, 2 containing early concepts of “a cursed scholar” and 2 containing 2 different armor sets.”

Words Under My Name compared the tone of Destiny 2 and WoW’s recent releases: “I’m noticing things I haven’t seen in a while in both games, and it’s hard to get out of my mind. While with WoW, I’m seeing just how much ‘heart and soul’ Dragonflight has, I’m seeing bits of D2Y1 seeping into Destiny. For WoW, this is great, for D2, I’m left wanting to tear my hair out.”

MMO Bits commented on the Star Wars: The Old Republic PvP changes: “So when the developers tell us they want to remove toxicity, they only mean select toxic actions or behaviours, not more common forms of toxicity. Having a better understanding of how players perceive PvP in SWTOR, could help address some toxicity in the game.”
