Challenge: Get queued up.

Following the deployment of patch #24 yesterday, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is finally prepared to launch today. Players who jumped in last night found themselves in a surprise headstart period after the game’s last wipe, but the servers technically open today at 2 p.m. EDT in conjunction with a developer stream on Twitch. This launch is aimed at PC players, with a Steam price of $39.99; a European and console launch is expected eventually too.

The game has come under fire over the last couple of years for reducing its scope; some players argue it’s not even an MMO anymore, though Behaviour Interactive has repeatedly said no content plans have been deleted, just delayed.

Check out the launch trailer and our roundup of coverage since we became Massively OP below!
