Make My MMO: Fractured’s launch, Zenith’s maintenance mode

It’s been a weird couple of weeks in MMO crowdfunding – with both a launch and an almost-sunset. First, Fractured Online has finally launched properly and fully after its second early access, just after a major patch that softened its PvP ruleset.

But unfortunately, we are all but losing Zenith, as its devs admitted defeat after months of gloom; the game has now officially entered maintenance mode and won’t be seeing more updates as the Kickstarted studio behind it moves on to other games.

Meanwhile, Pantheon set an ambitious early access launch date for December, Ilysia resurfaced with a big update, and Ship of Heroes is planning a big comeback for casual raid culture.

Read on for more on what’s been up with MMO crowdfunding over the last few weeks, plus our roundup of all the crowdfunded MMOs we’re following!

Yes, some crowdfunded MMOs most definitely do succeed. And that’s exactly what Make My MMO does several times a month. Help us keep ’em accountable, would ya?
