New Games and Testing
- Linkrealms: Spread the word about Linkrealms and you might earn yourself a beta key. Alternatively, you could pick up a founder’s pack and read up on the sandbox’s development roadmap. [Thanks to Ebreezy for the tip!]

- The Imperial Realm: Miranda: This MMORTS is being developed single-handedly by a guy named Robert Basler and just came out with its pre-alpha release 3.
- For the King: This coop roguelike smashed through its Kickstarter goal and got greenlit on Steam. Congrats!
- Magerealm: This new browser-based MMO suffered from some serious bugs and exploits this past week, but still managed to push out a new guild vs. guild update even so.
Patches
- Path of Exile: Patch 2.0.4 brings in several new welcome tweaks, including increased map drops, a sixth wing to the Hall of Grandmasters, and support for October events.
- Heroes of the Storm: This MOBA is currently testing a patch that include a new hero, StarCraft’s Lt. Morales. There are a lot of hero and map changes in the works as well. [via Blizzard Watch]
Events and Contests
- Elsword: Elsword has a new theme song called “Playing with Fire,” and it’s hosting a contest to encourage fans to either provide covers or create a music video using the song.
- H1Z1: Daybreak awarded the winners of the TwitchCon Invitational nearly $20 grand apiece for their skills during the battle royale.
- Hearthstone: Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime and Twitch CEO Emmett Shear played three matches against each other on stage at TwitchCon. Shear won the best out of three.
Odds and Ends
- WildStar: For a little bit there, the fansite WildStar Core looked as though it was shutting down. Fortunately, it’s come under new management since then and will keep on operating. Another fansite, WildStar Roleplay, ordered the dev team pizzas during the recent F2P launch. [Thanks to Zachary for the tip!]

- Dota 2: Take it for what it’s worth, but Dota 2’s Steam numbers dropped a hefty 16% from August to September. [via VG247]
