It’s time for another excellent edition of the Middle-earth Lore series from Lord of the Rings Online players, this one focused on the town of Bree!

The latest update for Elsword Online contains new nasty Lanox dungeons to be conquered. Take a look:

Return of Reckoning, the unsanctioned Warhammer Online fan emulator, posted a new video of an PvP battle at Dok Karaz. Brings back memories, doesn’t it? [Thanks to Sorenthaz for the tip!]

Pokémon is taking a cue from Ingress with its newest title, Pokémon GO. To capture battle critters, players will have to travel around the real world and interact with locations on their mobile devices. [Thanks to Nordavind for the tip!]

Curious about the mention of Epsilon from before? Here’s the trailer for its pre-alpha gameplay:

how cool is it that UO is getting an expansion after 19 years… I am so tempted, one of the true kings of gameplay.

Armsbend Why? I’m almost 30 and I like pokemon. I played it as a kid, and the newest generation (X/Y) was bought by mostly college students and other 20 somethings on it’s initial release since, well, we’re the ones who played the first generation. It’s a telling thing that the franchise is finally trying to include the more mature audience that helped make it successful. I can’t see that as bad at all, especially if you compare that to, say, Disney trying to make sure cartoons still appeal to adults.

One strange thing I noticed was most of the people in the Pokemon commercials we attractive 20-somethings.  I saw two children.  That is probably a telling a troubling thing for the series.

jixjax Yeah, that artwork is classic Hildebrandt brothers and a good 20 years old. Inside the game, you can be pretty much any color of human, elf, or gargoyle. :D

Nordavind Is it? I hadn’t thought if it as one till I saw it here, and even though, I thought of it more like an optional-online game, like the main series.

What UO needs is players. There are hardly anyone in Europa.
